Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>A total of 81.176 passengers passed by the port of Porto Novo in Santo Ant\u00e3o in the first quarter of 2022, being the second port in Cabo Verde with the largest flow of people in the first three months of this year.<\/p>\n

The quarterly statistical bulletin of the National Port Management Company (Enapor) reports that between January and March 2022 more than 25.552 passengers passed by the port of Porto Novo compared to the similar period in 2021, with a growth of 45.9 percent (%).<\/p>\n

Porto Novo is just behind Porto Grande, in S\u00e3o Vicente, where 99.910 passengers passed by between January and March this year, more than 32.651 people compared to the same period in 2021, corresponding to a growth of 48.5%.<\/p>\n

In all nine national ports, 277.509 passengers passed by during the referred period, compared to 180.951 people in the same period last year, an increase of 53.4%, with port of Porto Grande (36%), port of Porto Novo (29%) and port of Praia (13%) among the busiest in the first quarter of this year.<\/p>\n
