Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The president of the Teachers\u2019 Union of Santiago (Siprofis), Abra\u00e3o Borges, represented Cabo Verde at the seminar and the 14th Congress of the National Federation of Teachers of Portugal (Fenprof) in Porto and Viseu (Portugal), where he defended the valorization of preschool.<\/p>\n

\u201cEducation can\u2019t wait! Combating inequalities, valuing the profession\u201d is the theme of this forum which brings together international guests\u201d, and the representative of Cabo Verde warned of the value of preschool, as an ideal foundation for the future of education. He praised the important role of teachers during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that \u201cmany other sectors of education are at risk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Because it is an organization that have a great relationship with FECAP\/SIPROFIS, Abra\u00e3o Borges, who began this visit with his participation in the \u201cNational Seminar in the city of Viseu, is taking advantage of the moment \u201cto strengthen the ties of cooperation with teachers\u2019 unions\u201d.<\/p>\n

FECAP\/SIPROFIS aims to strengthen the partnership with teachers\u2019 unions in the North \u2013 SPN, SPZN, with CNTE \u2013 National Confederation of Education of Brazil, the Unions from Benguela, Huambo of SINPROF-Angola, with SINPRESTEP from Sao Tome and Principe, Guinea Bissau and FNE -Portugal as well as teachers\u2019 unions from almost all continents.<\/p>\n
