Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic said this Thursday, the 19th, in Ribeira Brava, S\u00e3o Nicolau, the transport and water as \u201ccrucial factors\u201d to \u201copen\u201d the island and called for \u201cgreater effort and work\u201d at the national level of the two sectors.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Maria Neves spoke to Inforpress after a meeting he had with the civil society in Ribeira Brava, as part of his visit to Sao Nicolau, and which served \u201cessentially\u201d, as he said, to listen to the concerns of the population and to be aware on the existing challenges.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was to be aware on the main challenges of the island, the concerns of the population and seek answers to these questions, because it is necessary to make a greater effort, to work at the national level mainly on the issue of transport and water in Sao Nicolau,\u201d the Head of State said.<\/p>\n
