Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Cape Verdean Medical Association (OMC) regretted, this Sunday, the death of doctor Kevin da Silva Guilherme, victim of a car accident, on the island of Maio. Born in S\u00e3o Vicente, he was in service on the island since 2020.<\/p>\n

Kevin da Silva, 34, was born in S\u00e3o Vicente and was posted on the island of Maio, in 2020, as part of the group of doctors to support the fight against covid-19.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00c9 com pesar que a Ordem dos M\u00e9dicos informa que faleceu o m\u00e9dico Kevin da Silva Guilherme, natural de S\u00e3o Vicente, aos 34 anos de idade\u201d, informou a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o, em comunicado de imprensa.<\/p>\n

According to the WTO, the doctor completed his degree in Medicine in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, at the University of Blida. He returned to Cape Verde in 2019.<\/p>\n

He was enrolled in the Ordem dos M\u00e9dicos since May of the same year, followed by an internship in Mindelo, before being placed on the island of Maio.<\/p>\n

After completing the service mission in the fight against covid-19, he remained on the island as a staff of the Ministry of Health, exercising other functions, in the Health Police Station.<\/p>\n

The Cape Verdean Medical Association and its associates express, to family and friends, \u201cthe most sincere feelings of solidarity and condolences for the felt loss\u201d.<\/p>\n
