Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The residents from Dominguinhas, an agricultural area isolated in the countryside of the municipality of Porto Novo, today asked the President of the Republic to visit this area and to know the difficulties of the local population arising from isolation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to receive a visit from the President of the Republic to know the difficulties we go through because of the isolation,\u201d said resident Joana Silva, warning that the lack of road to this area is \u201cthe biggest concern\u201d of residents.<\/p>\n

Resident Jos\u00e9 Lopes explains that Dominguinhas has \u201cgreat agricultural potential\u201d, but the lack of a road has made life very difficult for local farmers.<\/p>\n

For residents, the Head of State can use his influence and lead the Government to prioritize the construction of the road to Dominguinhas that is losing its population because of isolation.<\/p>\n
