Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The mayor of S\u00e3o Vicente announced on Tuesday that the municipality he runs was awarded by the Government with the amount of 15.7 million escudos for seasonal public employment.<\/p>\n

The money, according to Augusto Neves, came in time for the City Hall to do \u201ca lot\u201d before the rainy season and to fill the employment difficulties many young people go through.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are beneficiary in this great Government\u2019s effort to bring more work to the youth, we will begin quickly the work that should occupy a lot of youth in the next three months\u201d, said the Mayor.<\/p>\n

The idea of the City Hall, according to the same source, is to benefit young people from all the regions of the island, in order to provide employment in the paving of street, public cleaning, green spaces and help for the improvement of housing, among others.<\/p>\n
