Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Jos\u00e9 Maria Neves, will go to Brussels, Belgium, to participate in the European Development Days on 21 and 22 June, at the invitation of the President of the Commission of the European Union, Ursula von der Leyen.<\/p>\n

The information was announced this Saturday, the 18th, in a press release by the press office of the Presidency of the Republic, indicating that the Head of State, who was invited to intervene at the opening of the meeting, will speak to the high entities of Europe and the world on issues related to development in Africa and the Small Island States.<\/p>\n

The 2022 edition of the European Development Days will be \u201cGlobal Gateway: building sustainable partnerships for a connected world\u201d and is expected to bring together some 2.500 high-level participants from around the world, including political leaders and representatives of civil society and the private sector, according to the same source.<\/p>\n

\u201cParticipants will jointly take stock of progress in implementing the Global Gateway strategy and strengthen partnership efforts based on common values and objectives for green, smart and inclusive investments,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
