Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Algeria\u2019s new ambassador to Cabo Verde, Boualem Chebihi, was received on Wednesday at a hearing by the President of the National Assembly, Austelino Correia, to talk on the importance of the ongoing reforms in both countries.<\/p>\n

On his first visit to Cabo Verde, the Algerian diplomat revealed to the press that he had addressed with Austelino Correia the bilateral relations between the two States, and particularly to find out about Parliament\u2019s mission in Cabo Verdean politics and the ways in which the two countries are integrated into the African continent in general.<\/p>\n

Boualem Chebihi, who was accompanied at this hearing by Plenipotentiary Minister Mohamed Adel Samet, praised the way the two States are confronted on matters related to politics and development, economic and parliamentary diplomacy, as well as integration into the African Parliament, an institution the new ambassador considers very important for Africa.<\/p>\n

The new ambassador, who will present the letters of credentials as the responsible for leading his country\u2019s diplomatic mission in this archipelago, with residence in Dakar (Senegal), in the coming days to the President of the Republic, Jos\u00e9 Maria Neves, also highlighted the way the electoral process has been put in place, both in Algeria and Cabo Verde.<\/p>\n
