Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Health identified, this Sunday, another 62 new positive cases of covid-19, after analyzing 300 samples.<\/p>\n

According to data published today, 17 of the new cases were found in Praia, 20 in S\u00e3o Vicente, seven in S\u00e3o Filipe, three each in Ribeira Grande de Santo Ant\u00e3o and S\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o dos \u00d3rg\u00e3os, two in Porto Novo, Maio and Ribeira Brava and one case each in Santa Catarina, S\u00e3o Miguel, Brava, Sal, Tarrafal de S\u00e3o Nicolau and Boa Vista.<\/p>\n

There are also records of 173 recovered, in the following municipalities: Praia 8, S\u00e3o Domingos 1, Santa Catarina 10, Santa Cruz 3, S\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o dos \u00d3rg\u00e3o 3, S\u00e3o Filipe 38, Monastery 8, Santa Catarina do Fogo 6, Brava 6, Porto Novo 8, S\u00e3o Vicente 66, Ribeira Brava 4, Tarrafal de S\u00e3o Nicolau 3, Boa Vista 1 and May 8.<\/p>\n

The country now has 1175 active cases, 59370 recovered cases, 405 deaths, 43 deaths from other causes and 9 transferred, making a total of 61002 accumulated positive cases.<\/p>\n

Obligatoriness<\/p>\n

Since Friday, 1, which is required for Inter-Island Travel, the COVID-19 Certificate of Vaccination of the Third Dose (also called Booster Dose) or Negative PCR Test (Exam for the detection of the Virus that causes COVID-19 ), performed within the previous 72 hours, 48-hour Antigen Test and\/or Recovery Certificate.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven that the main indicators, at the National Level, have registered, in recent days, an increase in the RT Transmissibility Index in the order of 1.52, above one as recommended, and the Accumulated Incidence Rate, at the National Level, has increased from 19 to 68 per 100,000 inhabitants, above the threshold of 25 per 100,000 inhabitants”, justified the spokesperson for the Council of Ministers, Filomena Gon\u00e7alves, in an announcement made on 10 June, noting that the Decision results from the analysis carried out by the Directorate National Health Service, based on the increase in positive cases of COVID-19 reported in the different Municipalities of Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

For international trips arriving in the country – explained Filomena Gon\u00e7alves -, passengers and crew members – who travel by Air and Maritime Means – must present a valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate attesting to having taken the Third Dose, or Valid COVID Recovery Certificate and\/or RT-PCR Negative Test Certificate, within 72 hours prior to departure or Antigen performed within 48 hours prior to departure time.<\/p>\n

For international travel departing from Cape Verde – points out the official -, the acceptance of COVID Certificates depends on the agreements established with Third Countries, that is, with the Countries of Destination.<\/p>\n

COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus – today with many variants -, detected in December 2019, in Wuhan City, Central China.<\/p>\n
