Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Cape Verde ‘s senior men’s handball team debuts today at 5 pm at the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2022), taking place in Cairo, Egypt. Cabo Verde faces Nigeria, in the game counting for the first round of group C.<\/p>\n

In case of victory, Cape Verde will qualify for the next stage, since this Monday, 11th, Tunisia beat Nigeria by 30-18, in the opening game of Group C. Cape Verde enters the field again on Wednesday, the 13th, this time against Tunisia.<\/p>\n

CAN’2022 will be played until the 18th in Egypt with the participation of 14 African teams.<\/p>\n

The Cape Verde team has been in Egypt since Saturday, 9, after 36 hours of flight, with a stopover in Morocco, where it was held for 17 hours at Casablanca airport. Their debut on the field takes place today, 12, against Nigeria.<\/p>\n
