Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Prime Minister of Cape Verde, Jos\u00e9 Ulisses Correia e Silva, is a special guest of the Director General of the International Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), to be a speaker at the 63rd General Assembly, which starts today, 14, and runs until 22 July in Geneva. In a press release, the Government underlines that \u201cCape Verde has made significant progress in the field of Intellectual Property (IP)\u201d, through the implementation of a set of structuring actions, which contribute to the construction of a balanced national IP ecosystem, robust and effective.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is worth mentioning the approval of the Intellectual Property Policy Letter (CPPI), one of the measures of the VIII Constitutional Government Program 2021-2026, which will guide action in the field of Intellectual Property in the coming years and is in line with the policies and country strategies in the medium and long term\u201d, he points out.<\/p>\n

According to the same source, the country has sought to emphasize the strategic use of Intellectual Property rights in tourism, the blue economy, the green economy, the digital economy, culture and creative industries, science, technology and innovation, commerce and industry.<\/p>\n
