The president of the Association for the Integrated Development of Ribeira das Patas (ADIRP), Arlindo Delgado, guarantees that, in addition to the drought, the occurrence of winds at the time of flowering also conditioned the production of mangoes this year, but that, even so, the production was \u201creasonable\u201d.<\/p>\n

Ribeira das Patas, rich in the production of mangoes and citrus, is the agricultural valley most affected by the drought that has hit Porto Novo in recent years, since the water destined for agriculture comes only from springs, whose flows have been reducing annually.<\/p>\n
