Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>CV Interilhas informed this Wednesday, 20th, that, following the breakdown of the Interilhas Ship, which immobilized it for at least four weeks, the ships Liberdadi and Praia D’Aguada will, as of today, extra trips, on the S\u00e3o Vicente\/Sal and Santiago\/Sal\/Boa Vista\/Sal routes. The normalization of services is expected by the end of July.<\/p>\n

For passengers who had their trips damaged, until the end of July, the company apologizes, guaranteeing the relocation of their trips, according to the available capacity of the ships.<\/p>\n

According to him, the ships Liberdadi and Praia d’Aguada are ensuring voyages on the Sal, Santiago, S\u00e3o Nicolau and Boavista routes.<\/p>\n

In this way, as of today, July 20, the ship Liberdadi will ensure two extra trips per week between Sal and S\u00e3o Vicente, at night.<\/p>\n

Praia D’Aguada, on the other hand, will make an extra weekly trip, on the Santiago\/Sal\/Boa Vista\/Sal route , in order to \u201cnormalize the situation\u201d.<\/p>\n

As for the S\u00e3o Vicente\/Santo Ant\u00e3o line, the company guarantees that the Navio Chiquinho BL remains \u201coperational\u201d, with activity taking place \u201cwithin normality\u201d.<\/p>\n

Enhanced child safety<\/p>\n

The relocation of child passengers, says the company, has caused additional restrictions, taking into account the non-separation of families, but also the capacity in terms of safety equipment on board.<\/p>\n

In this sense, he guarantees, the company has already doubled the capacity of lifejackets on the Praia d’Aguada and Liberdadi ships.<\/p>\n

Normalized situation until the end of July<\/p>\n

The company expects the situation to normalize as soon as passengers with delayed trips are disposed of, which is expected to happen until the end of July.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll passengers with trips scheduled for the month of August will travel normally. We are making every effort, in the search for solutions that are efficient and agile and that allow the flow of passengers in delay as soon as possible\u201d, maintained the CVI.<\/p>\n

New helpline<\/p>\n

The company also announced that monitoring and information for passengers was reinforced, with the provision of a new specific service line. It is open from 8 am to 11 pm, on weekdays, by calling 350 03 32.<\/p>\n
