The information was advanced today to Inforpress by the president of the INSP, Maria da Luz Mendon\u00e7a, according to which, so far, only one suspected case has arrived at the Praia laboratory, with a negative result.<\/p>\n

According to the same source, the country, specifically the City of Praia, has had national capacity for laboratory diagnosis of the disease for about three weeks, namely reagents, equipment and trained human resources.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor now, we are building capacity in the virology laboratory in Praia, as we believe that, as we are at the beginning of the outbreak, there is still no need to be on all the islands with reagents, although the technicians are all trained to diagnose monkeypox cases \u201d, said Maria da Luz Mendon\u00e7a.<\/p>\n
