Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The education minister, Amadeu Cruz, believes that the start of higher education, in Santo Ant\u00e3o, from October, will reverse the massive departure of young people from the island.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Inforpress, Amadeu Cruz said that the entry into operation, from the academic year 2022\/23, of the Higher Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, of Santo Ant\u00e3o (ISCTA-SA) can, indeed, reverse \u201cthe trend of migration mass of young people\u201d from Santantoine towards other islands.<\/p>\n

Therefore, in his view, \u201cit is desirable that the inhabitants of Santanto collaborate in promoting the first higher education courses\u201d on this island, to be taught by the Universidade T\u00e9cnica do Atl\u00e2ntico, through ISCTA-SA.<\/p>\n

However, the public presentation of the training offer of ISCTA-SA, initially scheduled for this Wednesday, was postponed to \u201ca date to be indicated\u201d, according to a note, without advancing the reasons for the postponement.<\/p>\n

The training offer of this institute includes, in the first year of operation, the degrees in Agricultural Engineering and Zootechnical Engineering.<\/p>\n
