Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The N\u00f4s Ferry Mar d’Canal and Chiquinho BL ships have new schedules for trips between S\u00e3o Vicente and Santo Ant\u00e3o. The decision was taken by the National Directorate for Sea Policy, which today set a new schedule with 1 hour and 15 minutes between trips.<\/p>\n

After the berthing constraints experienced by the ship Mar d’Canal, the National Directorate for Maritime Policy decided to change the travel schedules in order to increase the travel interval between the two ships operating on the S\u00e3o Vicente\/Santo Ant\u00e3o line.<\/p>\n

This entity clarified that these changes are due to recurrent episodes of time pressure for the berthing, unberthing and departure of ships in Porto Novo (Santo Ant\u00e3o) and Porto Grande (S\u00e3o Vicente).<\/p>\n

Therefore, after listening to the Maritime and Port Institute (IMP) and Enapor, the DNPM determined an interval of 1:15 minutes between the voyages of the ships N\u00f4s Ferry Mar d’Canal and Chiquinho BL, which start to operate from Monday to Saturday. But the measure does not apply to Sunday schedules, whose travel interval is greater than 1:15 minutes.<\/p>\n

Thus, Chiquinho BL starts traveling from S\u00e3o Vicente to Santo Ant\u00e3o from 07:00, returning at 09:00. In the afternoon, at 14:00, it leaves S\u00e3o Vicente for Santo Ant\u00e3o with a scheduled return at 16:00.<\/p>\n

In turn, the N\u00f4s Ferry Mar d’Canal starts the journey from S\u00e3o Vicente to Santo Ant\u00e3o at 08:15 with a return scheduled for 10:15. In the afternoon, the trip starts at 15:15 with the return scheduled for 17:15.<\/p>\n
