Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Cape Verdean basketball team will face Senegal again today, as part of the preparation for the fourth African qualifying window for the 2023 World Cup.<\/p>\n

After a first match played on Wednesday, which led to the victory of the \u201cLions de la Teranga\u201d, as the Senegalese team is known, by 82-79, the two teams return tonight to the pavilion in another \u201cstrip -teima\u201d, although particular, between the two combined.<\/p>\n

According to Inforpress, the Senegalese team leaves this Saturday, the 20th, for Egypt where it will play in the fourth African qualification window, while Cape Verde travels directly from Senegal to the Ivory Coast, also with high aspirations of \u201c attack\u201d qualifying for the 2023 World Cup.<\/p>\n

Cape Verde belongs to group E, consisting of six teams, where it occupies second place.<\/p>\n

The games to be played from next week will be against Guinea Conakry, on the 26th of this month, Angola on the 27th, and Ivory Coast on the 28th, all at the Treichville Sports Palace in Abidjan (Ivory Coast).<\/p>\n

The 12 called up from Cape Verde to Ivory Coast are Patrick Lima, Ivan Almeida, Fidel Mendon\u00e7a, Joel Almeida, Kenneti Mendes, Lu\u00eds Teixeira, Amarilson Lopes, Will Tavares, Victor Andrade, Kevin Gomes, Edy Walter Tavares and Hugo Pereira.<\/p>\n
