During Gilberto Silva’s visit to the landfill, the need to move forward with investments in machinery and in the resolution of the \u201cenvironmental liabilities\u201d caused by the inter-municipal dump was raised.<\/p>\n

The construction of the improved landfill, which is part of the operational plan for waste management for Santo Ant\u00e3o, consists of the construction of a 650-meter track and a space where all the waste produced in the three municipalities will be deposited.<\/p>\n

The work also includes the construction of a wall to prevent the deposited waste from being dragged into the sea, and an 800-meter-long fence to prevent animals from entering the space.<\/p>\n
