Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The first \u201cCzech Fair in Cape Verde\u201d started this Thursday, 22, in Praia, to promote the Cape Verdean market and attract Czech investments to the country.<\/p>\n

The event, an initiative of the Czech-Cape-Verdean Chamber of Commerce, takes place at the premises of the Cape Verde International Fair (FIC), on the way to Praia Airport, until Saturday, 24th.<\/p>\n

According to the founder and vice-president of the Czech-Cape-Verdiana Chamber of Commerce, M\u00f3nica Sofia Duarte, the objective of this event is to bring together, for the first time in Cape Verde, the main Czech entrepreneurs and companies interested in investing in the country.<\/p>\n

Strengthen international partnerships<\/p>\n

This, especially at a time when Cape Verde is in need of reinforcements and international partners to fight the economic and social crisis that the world is facing\u201d, explained the young model and stylist, \u201cface\u201d of Cape Verde in the Czech Republic, since 2013, when that country welcomed her as a student.<\/p>\n

M\u00f3nica Sofia, who is from the municipality of Santa Cruz, in the interior of Santiago, believes that this first Business and Entrepreneurs Fair \u201cwill be a unique opportunity to present projects, products and establish private and or public-private partnerships between Cape Verde and the Czech Republic. \u201d.<\/p>\n

Potential investors<\/p>\n

The event, which will take place under the motto \u201cCape Verde as the Door of Czech Entrepreneurs to Africa\u201d has a total of 8 Czech and Slovak exhibitors and 21 companies, 4 of which are national.<\/p>\n

Among these are \u201cexhibitors and world-renowned companies, such as LINET, Gema Art International, Witkiewitz Atomica and Algon, among others that are successful and want to collaborate with Cape Verde\u201d, said the vice president of the Czech-Cape Verde Chamber of Commerce. .<\/p>\n

The event, in partnership with CV TradeInvest, has support from the Government of Cape Verde, municipal councils and several other public and private institutions from both countries.<\/p>\n
