Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Santo Anta\u0303o Cycling Association is promoting a project that aims to help cyclists without resources to acquire their own bicycle for cycling. The project has already begun to bear \u201cthe first fruits\u201d as the paint company SITA has already financed the first bicycle for a young man from Porto.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis project was created with the aim of helping young cyclists to acquire their bicycle. A used bicycle costs between 30 and 80 thousand escudos and a new one is above 100 thousand escudos\u201d, said Jose\u0301 Pinto, considering that these values \u200b\u200bare unaffordable for young people without a job, but with the talent to practice cycling.<\/p>\n

The forecast is to help, in a first step, five young cyclists to acquire their own bicycle to be able to practice this sport and compete, said the same source, highlighting the fact that there are \u201cvery interested and talented young people\u201d, but \u201cwithout any conditions \u201d to get a bike.<\/p>\n

The project coordinator added, however, that this initiative \u201cbegins to bear fruit\u201d, after the paint company SITA financed the first bicycle for a young man from Porto.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe ask for the support of other public and private institutions and also individuals to serve as partners in this noble mission of helping those who need it most to fulfill their dreams\u201d, concluded Jose\u0301 Pinto.<\/p>\n
