Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Municipality of Sa\u0303o Domingos launched, this Friday, the first stone for the construction works of the \u201cNew City\u201d, which aims at the infrastructure and urbanization of the Ribeira\u0303o Chiqueiro area. The municipality and Banco BAI Cabo Verde then signed a partnership protocol, following a bond loan granted in July, in the amount of 160 million escudos.<\/p>\n

According to BAI Cabo Verde, within the scope of the aforementioned protocol, the two entities are committed to initiating and intensifying partnership relations, and promoting the services and products offered by the financial institution to the employees of the Sa\u0303o Domingos City Council.<\/p>\n

The protocol is signed after, last July, Banco BAI Cabo Verde fully subscribed to a bond loan from the municipality, in the amount of 160 million escudos (1.45 million euros).<\/p>\n

Financing<\/p>\n

The loan, according to the same source, was intended to finance the Infrastructure and Urbanization project, in the Ribeira\u0303o Chiqueiro area, as well as the restructuring of portfolio investments.<\/p>\n

Cidade Nova<\/p>\n

The first stone of infrastructure in the Ribeira\u0303o Chiqueiro area, called \u201cCidade Nova\u201d, took place on the morning of this Friday, 14th.<\/p>\n

The investment aims at the infrastructure and urbanization of a plot of land in the Ribeira\u0303o Chiqueiro area.<\/p>\n

As the mayor of Sa\u0303o Domingos advanced, Isai\u0301as Varela, last July, will be sized and designed a new city in Sa\u0303o Domingos, \u201cleveraging the urban and urban synergies of the community of Ribeira\u0303o Chiqueiro, with particular growth potential and new possibilities to absorb the opportunities arising from its proximity to the country’s capital\u201d.<\/p>\n
