Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Santo Anta\u0303o Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (ICTA) opens its doors this Monday, 17th. The opening act, which marks the beginning of higher education on Ilha das Montanhas, will be chaired by the prime minister, Ulisses Correia and Silva.<\/p>\n

The Santo Anta\u0303o Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, which starts with two degrees, agronomy and zootechnics, is one of the organic units of the Universidade Te\u0301cnica do Atla\u0302ntico (UTA).<\/p>\n

For the president of the Association of Municipalities of Santo Anta\u0303o, higher education on this island is a \u201cdream come true for all the people of Santo Anta\u0303o\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies came to Santo Anta\u0303o to stay\u201d, declared Ani\u0301bal Fonseca, for whom this university center will provide \u201chigh quality academic training in unique areas in Cape Verde (Agronomy, Animal Science, Environment and the like).<\/p>\n

The rector of the Universidade Te\u0301cnica do Atla\u0302ntico, Joa\u0303o do Monte, and the president of the Association of Municipalities of Santo Anta\u0303o, Ani\u0301bal Fonseca, were also present at the event, which marks the official opening of higher education in Santo Anta\u0303o.<\/p>\n
