Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>The Government and the Municipality of Boa Vista signed a memorandum, on Thursday, in Sal Rei, that analyzes and proposes solutions to the pending situations of the program to eradicate tents houses and resettle families in the neighborhood of Boa Esperan\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

The tripartite memorandum, signed between the Ministries of Infrastructure and the Family and the City hall, is part of the process started in 2016, within the scope of the program of resettlement and eradication of informal seats.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the Minister of State, Family and Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando El\u00edsio Freire, underlined that the memorandum will resolve a residual part of the problem of informal settlements in Boa Vista, recalling that, in recent years, about 450 families.<\/p>\n

Hence, the official said he was convinced that in this process there is determination to resolve this problem for the better development of the island and the country, through three situations that, according to him, is clear.<\/p>\n

First, as El\u00edsio Freire advanced, in relation to people who prefer land, the Government is willing to assume the rents so that they leave the tents so that they can be demolished.<\/p>\n
