Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>Professor at the University of Cape Verde, Silvino Lopes E\u0301vora is the new Vice-President of the Lusophone Federation of Communication Sciences (LUSOCOM), an international platform that brings together researchers associated with associations of researchers from Cape Verde, Portugal, Brazil, Galicia, Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau.<\/p>\n

According to a press release sent to our editorial office, this is the first time that Cape Verde has representation on the board of LUSOCOM, a federation whose presidency was based in Brazil, then in Mozambique and now in Portugal.<\/p>\n

Silvino E\u0301vora, who is a professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts and president of the Scientific Council of Uni-CV, regularly participates in LUSOCOM congresses, having presented communications, participating in the scientific committee and directing working groups.<\/p>\n

LUSOCOM in Cape Verde<\/p>\n

In 2016, this university professor took the initiative to hold a LUSOCOM Congress in Cape Verde, at the former Uni-CV Campus in Palmarejo.<\/p>\n

At the 2017 LUSOCOM Congress, which took place at the University of Vigo, in Galicia, this journalist and academic took on a Plenary Session and, this year, he took on the same role again, at the event that took place at the University of Porto.<\/p>\n

\u201cIntense\u201d scientific life<\/p>\n

In Portugal in the first days of this month of November, Silvino taught, as a guest lecturer, a subject on \u201cMedia Education and Media Literacy in Cape Verde\u201d.<\/p>\n

The class was taught in the Doctorate in Media and Society in the Context of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries at the Autonomous University of Lisbon.<\/p>\n

It should be recalled that Silvino Lopes E\u0301vora, with an \u201cintense\u201d scientific life, recently participated in four international congresses on the Media.<\/p>\n

Academic education<\/p>\n

The now elected vice-president of the Lusophone Federation of Communication Sciences (LUSOCOM) has a degree in Journalism, a Post-Doctorate in Journalism Studies, a PhD in Communication Sciences \u2013 Sociology of Information and Communication and a Master in Communication Sciences.<\/p>\n

It also has a specialty in Information and Journalism and a postgraduate degree in Judicial Journalism.<\/p>\n

In addition to being a professor at Uni-CV, he is a member of the Portuguese Association of Political Economy, a member of the Virtual Museum of Lusofonia at the University of Minho and of the Lusophone Network for Information Quality at the University of Coimbra.<\/p>\n
