Africa-Press – Cape verde. <\/strong><\/span>This Monday, in Sa\u0303o Vicente, training sessions began on \u201cScreening of alterations in the Neurodevelopment of children aged 0 to 5 years\u201d, an initiative of the project \u201cTudu fidjo di Cabo Verde \u2013 Inclusion of Children and Young People with Neurological Disabilities\u201d. The actions, with three neuropediatricians from Hospital D. Estefa\u0302nia, from Portugal, will run until tomorrow, the 22nd, and will then go to the city of Praia, between the 23rd and 25th.<\/p>\n

Within the scope of the project \u201cPromoting the Inclusion of Children and Young People with Neurological Disabilities\u201d, the cities of Mindelo and Praia will host, between the 21st and 25th of November, several training sessions on \u201cScreening of alterations in the Neurodevelopment of children from 0 to 5 years old \u201d.<\/p>\n

As per a press release, the training for Pediatricians, General and Family Medicine Doctors and other health technicians started today, in Sa\u0303o Vicente, at Hospital Baptista de Sousa.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow, the 22nd, the same training given by a team of 3 doctors, Neuropediatricians, from Hospital D. Estefa\u0302nia, Portugal, will take place at the Health Department on the island.<\/p>\n

Actions on the Beach<\/p>\n

After Sa\u0303o Vicente, these health technicians take the same actions to Santiago.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, 23rd, the team composed of 3 doctors, Pediatric Neurologists, will provide training at the Agostinho Neto University Hospital in the afternoon (13h-15h).<\/p>\n

On the same day, they will go to a meeting with parents\/guardians of children at the FECAD Rehabilitation Center in Cidadela.<\/p>\n

On the 25th, the team of three health professionals from Hospital D. Estefa\u0302nia holds training at the Tira Chape\u0301u Health Center and, later, has a meeting with parents\/guardians and teachers of children with SEN, at the Euge\u0301nio Tavares School .<\/p>\n

Promoting integration and inclusion<\/p>\n

Remember that the project to promote the inclusion of children and young people with neurological disabilities has as its main objective to improve the quality of life of people with neurological disabilities, specifically promoting the integration and inclusion of children and young people with neurological disabilities.<\/p>\n

This is an ongoing project until August 2023, financed by the European Union, co-financed by Camo\u0303es \u2013 Instituto da Cooperacao e da Li\u0301ngua, IP<\/p>\n

Its implementation brings together the Instituto Marque\u0302s de Valle Flo\u0302r (IMVF), the Association for the Support of Self-promotion Initiatives (SOLMI) and the Federation of Associations of People with Disabilities (FECAD).<\/p>\n
