Le 19 f\u00e9vrier dernier, le port autonome de Pointe-Noire (PAPN) a inaugur\u00e9 bien plus que de nouvelles installations.<\/p>\n<p>En r\u00e9ceptionnant les quais D et G, d\u2019une longueur respective de 720 m et de 800 m, en plus d\u2019un nouveau quai polyvalent de 320 m, le tout port\u00e9 \u00e0 un tirant d\u2019eau de 15 m pour recevoir les porte-conteneurs d\u2019une capacit\u00e9 de 14\u2009000 \u00e9quivalents vingt-pieds (EVP), l\u2019autorit\u00e9 gestionnaire du port et ses principaux op\u00e9rateurs ont d\u00e9finitivement fait de Pointe-Noire l\u2019un des ports les plus modernes du golfe de Guin\u00e9e et une escale qui compte dans la desserte maritime de l\u2019Afrique centrale.<\/p>\n<p>La pand\u00e9mie qui bouscule l\u2019\u00e9conomie mondiale a semble-t-il d\u00e9j\u00e0 confirm\u00e9 tout l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de ces investissements, qui, ces derniers mois, ont renforc\u00e9 les activit\u00e9s de transbordement du PAPN.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous constatons en effet une augmentation des volumes conteneuris\u00e9s, notamment sur les marchandises frigo \u00bb, confirme-t-on chez Congo Terminal, l\u2019op\u00e9rateur d\u00e9tenu par Bollor\u00e9 Transport &amp; Logistics (BTL), le danois AP Moller et la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 congolaise de transport (Socotrans), concessionnaire du terminal \u00e0 conteneurs depuis 2009.<\/p>\n<p>En effet, le volume de trafic y est pass\u00e9 de 180\u2009000 EVP \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque \u00e0 920\u2009000 en 2019. Un succ\u00e8s pour le port et pour Congo Terminal, qui, depuis son arriv\u00e9e, a investi plus de 400 millions d\u2019euros dans le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019infrastructures, l\u2019acquisition de nouveaux \u00e9quipements de manutention et l\u2019installation d\u2019un syst\u00e8me d\u2019exploitation dernier cri.<\/p>\n<p>Ces derniers d\u00e9veloppements ont permis de r\u00e9aliser d\u2019importantes \u00e9conomies d\u2019\u00e9chelle qui font aujourd\u2019hui du PAPN l\u2019un des ports les plus concurrentiels et les plus performants du continent (l\u2019attente des navires en rade a quasi disparu, le temps moyen \u00e0 quai a \u00e9t\u00e9 ramen\u00e9 \u00e0 moins de vingt-quatre heures, etc.), autant d\u2019am\u00e9liorations qui ont attir\u00e9 de nouveaux armateurs, comme Cosco, PIL, Hapag et Hamburg Sud. Par ailleurs, le taux de fret (co\u00fbt) des marchandises manutentionn\u00e9es a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duit de moiti\u00e9 depuis 2009.<\/p>\n<p>La vocation sous-r\u00e9gionale du PAPN a \u00e9t\u00e9 renforc\u00e9e, justifiant plus que jamais son surnom de \u00ab porte oc\u00e9ane \u00bb\u2009: plus de 40 % des volumes r\u00e9ceptionn\u00e9s sont destin\u00e9s aux march\u00e9s de la RDC et de la Centrafrique, via le fleuve Congo, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 certains clients p\u00e9troliers install\u00e9s dans l\u2019enclave angolaise du Cabinda.<\/p>\n<p>Aucune raison donc de craindre la concurrence naissante de Kribi au Cameroun ni, ult\u00e9rieurement, celle de Banana (RDC), o\u00f9 DP World travaille depuis deux ans sur un projet de terminal.<\/p>\n<p>Le PAPN joue \u00e9galement la carte de la diversification puisque, parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 l\u2019inauguration de nouveaux quais, il a proc\u00e9d\u00e9, en f\u00e9vrier, \u00e0 celle d\u2019une unit\u00e9 de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des grands moulins du phare (filiale du groupe Somdiaa), sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la production de farine de bl\u00e9 et d\u2019aliments pour b\u00e9tail pour le march\u00e9 national et sous-r\u00e9gional.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Congo Brazzaville.
