Africa-Press<\/a> – C\u00f4te d’Ivoire<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Le mandat d\u2019arr\u00eat de la Cour p\u00e9nale internationale (CPI) contre Simone Gbagbo, l\u2019\u00e9pouse de l\u2019ancien pr\u00e9sident, accus\u00e9e notamment de crimes contre l\u2019humanit\u00e9 lors de la crise de 2010-2011, a \u00e9t\u00e9 lev\u00e9, selon une d\u00e9cision rendue publique, jeudi 29 juillet, et consult\u00e9e par l\u2019Agence France-Presse (AFP).<\/p>\n

\u00ab La Chambre consid\u00e8re qu\u2019il est appropri\u00e9 de d\u00e9cider que le mandat d\u2019arr\u00eat contre Simone Gbagbo cesse d\u2019\u00eatre effectif \u00bb<\/b><\/p>\n

, a \u00e9crit la CPI dans une d\u00e9cision de sept pages, dat\u00e9e du 19 juillet.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Bonne nouvelle pour Mme Simone Gbagbo<\/b><\/p>\n

(\u2026), elle pourra d\u00e9sormais librement voyager \u00e0 travers le monde entier \u00bb, a r\u00e9agi son avocat Ange Rodrigue Dadj\u00e9, dans une d\u00e9claration transmise \u00e0 l\u2019AFP. \u00ab Cette lev\u00e9e du mandat vient boucler d\u00e9finitivement les poursuites dont faisaient l\u2019objet les Gbagbo devant la CPI \u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Quatre chefs de crimes contre l\u2019humanit\u00e9<\/b><\/p>\n

Simone Gbagbo \u00e9tait r\u00e9clam\u00e9e par la CPI pour quatre chefs de crimes contre l\u2019humanit\u00e9, \u00e0 savoir meurtre, viol, autres actes inhumains et pers\u00e9cution, commis pendant la crise post-\u00e9lectorale de 2010-2011. Cette crise, n\u00e9e du refus de Laurent Gbagbo de reconna\u00eetre sa d\u00e9faite \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidentielle de 2010 face \u00e0 Alassane Ouattara, avait fait plus de 3 000 morts.<\/p>\n

En mars dernier, la CPI avait d\u00e9finitivement acquitt\u00e9 Laurent Gbagbo, \u00e9galement poursuivi pour crimes contre l\u2019humanit\u00e9, lequel avait pu faire son retour en C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire le 17 juin, apr\u00e8s dix ans d\u2019absence.<\/p>\n

Contrairement \u00e0 son \u00e9poux, Simone Gbagbo n\u2019avait jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9e \u00e0 la CPI. Elle avait, en revanche, \u00e9t\u00e9 condamn\u00e9e en mars 2015 \u00e0 vingt ans de prison \u00e0 Abidjan pour atteinte \u00e0 la s\u00fbret\u00e9 de l\u2019Etat. Elle avait finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 lib\u00e9r\u00e9e le 8 ao\u00fbt 2018, apr\u00e8s une amnistie d\u00e9cr\u00e9t\u00e9e par le pr\u00e9sident, Alassane Ouattara, afin de favoriser la r\u00e9conciliation nationale.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
