Analyse.<\/p>\n<p>Trois compagnies, trois strate\u0301gies. Pour capter les flux de voyageurs africains, Air France-KLM a adopte\u0301 une strate\u0301gie multimarque devant re\u0301pondre a\u0300 la diversite\u0301 des publics vise\u0301s. Le groupe franco-ne\u0301erlandais, qui compte les deux compagnies Air France et KLM mais aussi, depuis 2006, la filiale Transavia, entend ainsi couvrir l\u2019ensemble des profils de passagers, du trafic premium au low cost. Et cela sans que les trois entite\u0301s ne se marchent sur les pieds.<\/p>\n<p>Avec un chiffre d\u2019affaires de 31,4 milliards d\u2019euros en 2024, le groupe, contacte\u0301 par Jeune Afrique, explique que la re\u0301partition des destinations \u00ab de\u0301pend du potentiel de de\u0301veloppement de chacune des compagnies \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Cette strate\u0301gie est comple\u0301te\u0301e par un syste\u0300me de \u00ab combinabilite\u0301 tarifaire \u00bb qui permet au voyageur de personnaliser son billet par le jeu de diffe\u0301rents tarifs ou options selon ses besoins. Un gage de flexibilite\u0301, met en avant le groupe. Au total, Air France-KLM dessert pre\u0300s de 47 villes africaines directement depuis le hub de KLM a\u0300 Schiphol ou celui d\u2019Air France a\u0300 Roissy Charles de Gaulle, et plus de 20 supple\u0301mentaires via ses partenaires Afrijet et Kenya Airways.<\/p>\n<p><b>Air France, l\u2019ope\u0301rateur historique<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Air France concentre ses efforts sur l\u2019Afrique francophone et les marche\u0301s a\u0300<b> <\/b>fort rendement. La compagnie dessert une trentaine de villes depuis Paris-Charles de Gaulle, couvrant toutes les grandes capitales du continent, de Dakar a\u0300 Abidjan en passant par Kinshasa et Nairobi. Elle assure donc une pre\u0301sence strate\u0301gique sur les principales destinations e\u0301conomiques et politiques.<\/p>\n<p>En Afrique de l\u2019Ouest, Air France reste la re\u0301fe\u0301rence pour les voyageurs face a\u0300 des pavillons nationaux pourtant ambitieux. Air Se\u0301ne\u0301gal, en difficulte\u0301 financie\u0300re et de gestion, peine a\u0300 maintenir sa liaison Dakar-Paris. La compagnie doit se re\u0301organiser face a\u0300 l\u2019ogre franco-ne\u0301erlandais.<\/p>\n<p>Autre grande capitale ouest-africaine, Abidjan reste une singularite\u0301 dans le re\u0301seau du transporteur franc\u0327ais. Hormis l\u2019Afrique du Nord, c\u2019est la seule destination francophone de la compagnie a\u0300 disposer de 14 vols hebdomadaires. Preuve de l\u2019attractivite\u0301 d\u2019Abidjan, trois compagnies, Air France, Corsair et Air Co\u0302te d\u2019Ivoire, se partagent la liaison directe avec Paris. \u00ab Il n\u2019y a pas beaucoup de route dans le monde avec trois ope\u0301rateurs, mais tout de\u0301pend du nombre de rotations effectue\u0301es par chacune d\u2019entre elles \u00bb, explique un consultant ae\u0301rien.<\/p>\n<p>Le positionnement du groupe a\u0300 Abidjan de\u0301tonne avec sa strate\u0301gie en Afrique centrale. Face a\u0300 la chute des rendements vers certaines destinations de la re\u0301gion, la compagnie a du\u0302 revoir sa copie. C\u2019est le cas pour Bangui, ou\u0300 le dernier vol direct depuis Paris s\u2019est pose\u0301 le 31 janvier. La ville est de\u0301sormais desservie par trois vols hebdomadaires, depuis Yaounde\u0301, gra\u0302ce a\u0300 un partage de codes entre Air France et le pavillon public gabonais Afrijet.<\/p>\n<p>Selon Mamadou Lamine Sow, expert ae\u0301rien, \u00ab Air France cible le haut de gamme, KLM la connexion globale quand Transavia croi\u0302t sur de gros volumes de passagers sans baisser son rendement par sie\u0300ge gra\u0302ce aux options payantes et au programme de fide\u0301lisation \u00ab Flying Blue \u00bb du groupe \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><b>Comple\u0301ter l\u2019offre actuelle<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Conse\u0301quences de la de\u0301gradation de la situation se\u0301curitaire au Sahel et de son bras de fer avec les re\u0301gimes des pays de cette zone, le pavillon franc\u0327ais dirige\u0301 par Anne Rigail est suspendu au Mali et au Burkina depuis 2022. Bamako e\u0301tait l\u2019une des destinations phares de la compagnie en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest, avec Abidjan et Dakar. Le Niger, quant a\u0300 lui, interdit le survol de son territoire a\u0300 Air France depuis le coup d\u2019E\u0301tat de 2023, ce qui rallonge les trajets vers le sud du continent de la compagnie.<\/p>\n<p>Au casse-te\u0302te sahe\u0301lien s\u2019ajoute un bras de fer diplomatique entre le Mali et l\u2019Alge\u0301rie. Depuis le 8 avril 2025, l\u2019Alge\u0301rie interdit aux avions ayant transite\u0301 par le Mali de survoler son territoire, et le Mali applique la re\u0301ciprocite\u0301 depuis cette date. En pratique, un vol ne peut plus survoler les deux pays au cours d\u2019un me\u0302me trajet.<\/p>\n<p>Air France, ainsi que toutes les compagnies qui desservent la fac\u0327ade ouest du continent, contourne l\u2019Alge\u0301rie via Maroc et Mauritanie. Les tensions dans cette re\u0301gion ont pousse\u0301 le pavillon a\u0300 ce\u0301der la desserte d\u2019Accra au Ghana a\u0300 KLM. Officiellement, le groupe explique ce repli par un manque de rentabilite\u0301 de cette destination. \u00ab Nous avons donc de\u0301cide\u0301 de capitaliser sur KLM (vol quotidien) \u00bb, justifie le groupe.<\/p>\n<p>KLM se concentre sur l\u2019Afrique anglophone et orientale et dessert une bonne dizaine de destinations africaines depuis Amsterdam-Schiphol. Certaines lignes, comme l\u2019Afrique du Sud, la Tanzanie et le Kenya, sont partage\u0301es avec Air France, permettant au groupe d\u2019ajuster son offre selon le potentiel de marche\u0301 et la saisonnalite\u0301 tout en e\u0301vitant la cannibalisation. La compagnie maximise les flux paneurope\u0301ens et internationaux pour remplir ses vols long-courriers et inte\u0301grer l\u2019Afrique dans un re\u0301seau global.<\/p>\n<p>Selon Mamadou Lamine Sow, \u00ab KLM optimise la connectivite\u0301 du re\u0301seau mondial et permet au groupe de couvrir tous les segments de marche\u0301. Cette re\u0301partition permet aux diffe\u0301rentes entite\u0301s du groupe de ne pas se marcher sur les pieds \u00bb. En paralle\u0300le, Air France-KLM parie aussi sur le low cost avec Transavia France, qui dessert les villes touristiques d\u2019Afrique du Nord, le Se\u0301ne\u0301gal et le Cap-Vert, ciblant les flux loisirs et diasporiques et comple\u0301tant l\u2019offre long-courrier des deux autres marques.<\/p>\n<p><b>Une compagnie low cost solide<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Transavia, qui a re\u0301alise\u0301 3,07 milliards d\u2019euros de chiffre d\u2019affaires en 2024, ope\u0300re sur des segments tre\u0300s diffe\u0301rents, avec une flotte monocouloir qui limite la porte\u0301e de ses vols. Elle dessert une quinzaine de destinations africaines, dont l\u2019E\u0301gypte, la Tunisie, le Maroc, l\u2019Alge\u0301rie, le Cap-Vert et le Se\u0301ne\u0301gal. En se concentrant sur ce segment de marche\u0301 pre\u0301cis, la compagnie capte des flux de voyageurs sensibles au prix sans de\u0301grader les performances d\u2019Air France.<\/p>\n<p>Sur le Maroc, Transavia assure environ 50 rotations hebdomadaires vers Casablanca, Marrakech et Agadir, contre pre\u0300s de 80 rotations hebdomadaires pour Air France, ce qui montre que la compagnie low cost comple\u0300te l\u2019offre classique sans concurrencer le segment premium d\u2019Air France. Pour Mamadou Lamine Sow, \u00ab Transavia ne capte que les volumes sensibles au prix, c\u2019est-a\u0300-dire les voyageurs avec un budget limite\u0301 \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Contrairement aux deux autres compagnies du groupe qui ne desservent l\u2019Afrique qu\u2019a\u0300 partir de Paris et Amsterdam, Transavia France propose des vols depuis plusieurs villes franc\u0327aises, dont Marseille, Lille et
