Union of Algiers secured victory and the title with a penalty shootout score of 8-7.<\/p>\n<p>Zamalek took an early lead when Palestinian player Adam Kaid earned a penalty.<\/p>\n<p>Adi Al-Dabbagh scored Zamalek&#8217;s first goal in the 5th minute, successfully converting the penalty to the right of goalkeeper Osama Ben Bout.<\/p>\n<p>Zamalek made a forced substitution in the 29th minute, bringing in Mohamed Awad for Mehdi Suleiman in goal after the latter sustained an injury.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed Khaldi threatened Zamalek&#8217;s goal with a dangerous shot in the 54th minute, which went just wide of the post.<\/p>\n<p>Khaldi nearly surprised Zamalek in the 69th minute with a dangerous shot from inside the penalty area that went over the crossbar.<\/p>\n<p>Zamalek&#8217;s most dangerous chance came in the 85th minute, following a cross from Mohamed Ibrahim and a precise header from Nasser Mansi, which was deflected by goalkeeper Osama Ben Bout for a corner kick.<\/p>\n<p>Zamalek lost the match in the penalty shootout, 8-7, after Mohamed Shahat missed the eighth penalty for the white team, allowing a player from Union of Algiers to score the final decisive penalty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ap-article-footer-note\">Find more news and analyses on <span class=\"ap-highlight-country\">Africa<\/span> on the <span class=\"ap-highlight-brand\">Africa Press<\/span> website<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press.
