Gunfire is still ongoing around the presidential palace.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The nature of the clashes or the responsible party was not immediately clear, and no official comment had been issued by the Nigerien government at the time of the report&#8217;s publication.<\/p>\n<p>The country has been under military rule since the coup in July 2023, which ousted President Mohamed Bazoum.
