Africa-Press – Eritrea. Asmara 14 September 2023- The Ministry of Mines and Energy has confirmed the occurrence of 5.0 magnitudes on Richter scale, with a depth of 10 km from the epicenter, 41 km south of Massawa at 8:51 pm yesterday.
The tremor was felt in Asmara, Massawa, Mendefera, Adi-Keih, and Senafe and its surroundings.
It is to be recalled that on 01 August this year 5.6 rector earthquake occurred in the Irafalle area, Northern Red Sea Region, followed by a 4.7 scale earthquake the next day in the same area.
