Africa-Press – Eritrea. The founder of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, has resigned as president and member of the organization’s board of directors with immediate effect, turning a page in the history of the institution known for its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
”As I enter my 88th year of life, I have decided to step down as chairman and member of the Board of Directors, with immediate effect,” Schwab wrote in a statement released today, quoted by Lusa. Schwab will be replaced on an interim basis by the vice-chairman of the Board of Directors and former Nestlé boss, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe.
