Africa-Press – Eritrea. The Premier League team announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Spanish custodian Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea. According to the media, the club had activated a five million pound ($6.86 million) release clause to acquire the most expensive custodian in the world.
After winning the Europa League in 2019, the Champions League two years later, and the Club World Cup in 2022, Kepa, 30, has been on loan for the past two seasons since joining Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao in 2018 for 71 million pounds.
Kepa made 20 appearances for Real Madrid in the previous season, helping the Spanish team win La Liga and the Champions League.
He was also the regular custodian for Bournemouth in the Premier League last season.
According to British media reports, Kepa signed a three-year contract with Arsenal, where he would wear the number 13 shirt and support David Raya, and he extended his Chelsea contract until 2026 before joining Bournemouth in August.
