Africa-Press – Eritrea. Two months after leaving their fierce Saudi Pro-League rivals Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr named Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus as their new addition on Monday.
In his second spell with Riyadh-based Al-Hilal, the 70-year-old won the domestic treble in the 2023–2024 season.
However, he left the team in May after they fell to Saudi Arabian team Al-Ahli in the AFC Champions League elite semi-finals.
“It’s official Mr. Jorge Jesus is the new coach of Al-Nassr” the Saudi club posted on X.
Al-Nassr has agreed to a one-year contract with the former Copa Libertadores champion of Brazil’s Flamengo, who takes Stefano Pioli’s place from Italy.
Nine times Cristiano Ronaldo, a 40-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has had his contract with Saudi champions Al-Nassr extended until 2027.
