Nvidia Shares Slip After Trump's Revenue Sharing Plan

Africa-Press – Eritrea. Shares of Nvidia closed in the red Monday following US President Donald Trump’s confirmation that an agreement had been reached with the chip manufacturer to pay 15% of the revenue from “H20” chips sold to China to the US government,

The stock price of Nvidia fell 0.34% to $182.09.

Trump said he had wanted 20% of the revenue to approve chip exports, but he had made a “small” deal with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to reduce it to 15%.

He stressed that it applies to China’s existing “H20” chip, adding that although the chip is now outdated, it still has a market.

Trump described Nvidia’s new Blackwell chip as “the latest and best,” stating that he would not make a deal on it, but an agreement would be possible if the chip were designed in a less advanced manner.

The US president said he would meet Huang to discuss the Blackwell chip.

While a similar deal is expected with AMD, its share price dropped around 0.25%.
