Africa-Press – Eritrea. The displays showcased by the Anseba Region at Eritrea Festival 2025 are making a significant contribution to the preservation of cultural and traditional heritage, according to the region’s Holidays Coordinating Committee.

Speaking to Erina, Mr. Ismael Mohammed-Nur, Chairman of the Anseba Region Holidays Coordinating Committee, stated that the region is presenting exhibits focused on intangible heritage, emphasizing that culture and tradition are vital in preserving one’s identity.

He noted that transferring culture and tradition to future generations requires a strong, research-based approach. Extensive studies were conducted across nine sub-zones of the Anseba Region, resulting in this year’s presentations featuring the cultural and traditional heritage of the Blin, Tigre, and Tigrigna ethnic groups.

The Anseba Region has also showcased displays highlighting local tourism resources, pictorial and material exhibitions, oral folklore, and traditional house-building knowledge, among others.

In related news, the annually held Eritrea Festival continues to serve as a platform for participants to present their innovations, creative works, and products to the public.

According to participants, most of the innovations and creative works focus on technology, electronics, and engineering, with significant impact on improving the public’s quality of life.

Speaking to Erina, Eng. Luul Kidane, one of the coordinators of the innovations and creative works sector, stated that approximately 33 innovations and creative projects—including solar power solutions, smokeless ovens, machinery, and mobile applications—have been showcased at the festival.
