Africa-Press – Eritrea. Bayern Munich are on the verge of completing a loan move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, according to reports from BBC Sport and German outlet Bild on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Senegal international is set to join the Bundesliga champions after both clubs reportedly reached an agreement.
Jackson’s omission from Chelsea’s squad for their August 22 Premier League clash against West Ham, as well as pre-season friendlies against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan, had fueled speculation over his future.
With Chelsea recently boosting their attacking options by signing Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, Jackson has slipped down the pecking order, paving the way for a potential transfer.
Jackson netted 13 goals in 37 appearances last season and remains under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2033. Since joining Chelsea from Villarreal, he has accumulated 100 senior appearances, scoring 36 goals and providing 14 assists, with a record of 48 wins, 26 draws, and 26 losses.
In the 2024/25 campaign, he registered 10 goals and five assists in 30 matches for the Blues.
If the deal goes through, Jackson will become Bayern Munich’s latest attacking reinforcement as the German giants aim to strengthen their squad for another title push.
