Windfall for DIFAs
LeFA President unveiled financial support for District Football Association meant for football development called *Eyes on the Ball* which was previously known as LAP, where a total of M2 million will be shared by the DIFAs. Each of the DIFAs will get M200,000 increased from M100,000.
More resources to go towards Youth Development
LeFA to put more resources on youth development programmes to compliment the work be done at national Academy, where a French born coach is set to join soon.
LeFA sad to move it’s upcoming World Cup games from Bloemfontein
Advocate Phafane also stated that the leadership of LeFA is sad that it’s forced to move its upcoming 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe away from Bloemfontein, where they have established relations with the provincial government that has been supportive to the Association and Likuena.
Likuena will play Nigeria and Zimbabwe at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane after Toyota Stadium failed a recent inspection carried out by CAF.
