Africa-Press – Eritrea. <\/strong><\/span>A strong field of over 200 amateur players has been drawn to take on the par-72 Limuru golf course on April 29, in the third leg of the 2023 KCB East Africa Golf Tour.<\/p>\n

Action on Saturday is set to tee off at 6:30 am as the expansive field, which includes guest players from around the country, battles for the two team slots available from this leg to play in the tour\u2019s grand finale later in the year.<\/p>\n

So far two teams have qualified from the second leg in Eldoret last weekend.<\/p>\n

In addition to the amateur series, Kcb will host golf clinics on Friday and Sunday, at the same venue.<\/p>\n

So far, the clinics have reached over 250 participants in total from the opening legs at Vetlab and Eldoret golf club.<\/p>\n

Kcb group director marketing and communications Rosalind Gichuru said: \u201cWe are all set for the third leg of the Kcb East Africa Golf tour. It is great to see the growing interest and excitement around the tour as it moves through the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo far, we have hosted over 190 amateur golfers and over 250 participants in our lady and junior clinics. As we head to Limuru, I want to invite you all to what promises to be a great weekend of golf,” she added.<\/p>\n

Limuru captain Renaldo D\u2019souza said: \u201cWe have a strong field of over 200 amateur players, with a great mix of juniors and ladies, the course is in great shape and should provide an exciting challenge to the players.\u201d<\/p>\n

The top two teams from this leg will qualify to play in the grand finale slated for November at the Karen Country Club, for a chance to play at the 2024 Magical Kenya Ladies Open Pro-Am event.<\/p>\n
