At the colorful celebrations that were broadcast live on Eri-TV, His reverend Abune Qerlos, 5th Patriarch of Eritrea\u2019s Orthodox Tewahdo Church, led prayers followed by religious hymns around the Damera torch.<\/p>\n

Sunday school youths presented religious songs depicting the occasion.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Memhir Simon Beyene gave a briefing on the historical background of the Meskel Holiday.<\/p>\n
