Africa-Press – Eritrea. <\/strong><\/span>Asmara, 18 December 2023 \u2013 Thanks to the modern medical equipment it has introduced and personnel deployed, Halibet Referral Hospital is providing commendable service, according to Dr. Luel Banteyirga, Medical Director of the Hospital.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Erina, Dr. Luel stated that the hospital provides general medical and surgical services. Indicating that 400-450 patients receive treatment daily, Dr. Luel said that in the last ten months, over 102 thousand patients received treatment, of whom over 94 thousand were OPD patients.<\/p>\n

Regarding surgical services, Dr. Luel said that minor and major surgeries were conducted on over 4,760 patients. Of those surgeries, 248 were for burnt skin, 60 for bone and muscle, and 20 for spinal cord instances.<\/p>\n

Mr. Debesay Hayelom, Administrator of Halibet Hospital, indicated that the availability of a 24-hour electricity supply and water distribution system is facilitating the medical work.<\/p>\n
