Africa-Press – Eritrea. <\/strong><\/span>Thirty-three patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out today at Quarantine Centers and Testing Stations in the Central, Southern, and Gash Barka Regions.<\/p>\n

Out of these, twenty-four patients are from Quarantine Centers (10) and Testing Stations (14) in Asmara, Central Region. Eight patients are from Testing Stations in Emni-Haili (5) and Senafe (3); Southern Region. The last patient is from Testing Station in Barentu, Gash Barka Region.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, twenty patients who have been receiving medical treatment in hospitals in the Central (19) and Gash Barka (1) Regions have recovered fully and have been discharged from these facilities. Sadly, 72 years old patient from the Central Region has passed away due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The total number of recovered patients has accordingly increased to 7,369 while the number of deaths has risen to 63.<\/p>\n

The total number of confirmed cases in the country to date has increased to 7,616.<\/p>\n
