Africa-Press – Eritrea. <\/strong><\/span>Chelsea confirmed on Wednesday the signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid on a seven-year contract.<\/p>\n

‘I\u2019m really happy to be back at Chelsea and I can\u2019t wait to get started. I can see some familiar faces from the last time I was here, which is always nice,” Felix said in a statement.<\/p>\n

“I loved my time here before and I told my friends and family that I\u2019d love to return to the Premier League one day. To do that with Chelsea is a great feeling and I\u2019m excited to be back,” he added.<\/p>\n

Felix previously spent time on loan with the Blues, joining in the winter window and finishing the 2022\/23 season in the English top-tier club, scoring four times in 20 games.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old formerly played for Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.<\/p>\n

He won the 2018-19 Portuguese top-tier title with Benfica and the 2021 Spanish La Liga with Atletico Madrid.<\/p>\n

The second striker won the 2021 UEFA Nations League title with Portugal.<\/p>\n

On loan, he made appearances with Barcelona last season, scoring 10 goals in 44 appearances.<\/p>\n
