Africa-Press – Eswatini. MADAGASCAN side Centre de Formation de Football Andoharanofosty (CFFA) coach Titi Rasoanaivo has declared war following their 2-3 loss to Royal Leopard during the CAF Champions League preliminary round clash in their own backyard last weekend.
The coach said this immediately after their arrival at Ngwenya Border Post yesterday ahead of the much awaited return leg clash slated for the Somhlolo National Stadium on Saturday. Rasoanaivo said as a team they had prepared well and corrected their mistakes committed in the previous game.
“We will go back home with a win as our opponents gave us a hard time in our last match and we cannot afford to go down twice,” he stated. ‘Ingwemabalabala’ also returned home yesterday afternoon from Madagascar after enduring a long trip via Ethiopia.
The team’s Chief Executive Officer Frank Hurube confirmed the police side’s safe arrival. He further announced that entrance fee was E40 for the match. “Tickets will be available at all Futis and Pizza Inn outlets around the country from tomorrow (today) and gates open at 10am. “We will do our best to hoist the country’s flag by advancing to the next round,” he said.
Hurube further extended gratitude to the Eswatini Football Association for supporting them in their continental mission. “We are grateful to the mother body for their continuous support and we further appeal for financial assistance from the nation in order to cater for costs of the tournament.
“Our main aim is to win this match because we want to reach the lucrative stages and this is a must win and the boys promised us a win as well,” he said. The match will be officiated by South African referees and a Mozambican match commissioner.
Goals from Senzelwe Dlamini, Junior Magagula and Menzi Sithole gave the reigning MTN Premier League champions the vital away victory in Antananarivo. The local envoys now need a goalless draw in order to advance to the continent’s premier club competition.
