Africa-Press – Eswatini. Santa Lucia Funeral Services (Pty) Ltd and nine other properties have been put up for auction by the Pigg’s Peak Town Council.
This is not the first time the property has been put up for auction as in 2018 it was brought to the market.
According to a notice of sale in execution issued by the municipality in the matter between the council and rate defaulters Santa Lucia Funeral Services (Pty) Ltd, the property will be sold by public auction to recover arrear rates and charges.
The auction is expected to be held on September 30 at 10:00am outside the Pigg’s Peak Magistrate’s Courts car park. The reserve price of the property that sits on a property measuring 2 166 square metres is E1.053 million.
The combined amount of all the properties that will be up for auction on the day is E3.8 million.
In 2018 (Legal Notice Number 187 of 2018), the town council invited bidders to convene at the Pigg’s Peak Magistrate’s Court on November 30, 2018.
At that time the reserve price of Santa Lucia Services (Pty) Ltd property which was sitting on a property measuring 2 166 square metres, was increased to E1.532 million from E1.4 million.
Despite that the property has been marked as developed in the recent notice, the reserve price has decreased when compared to the previous years when it was put up for auction.
