PUDEMO REGIONAL ORGANIZER: Senior Superintendent Clement Sihlongonyane wants to kill me,says I killed his girlfriend

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mfankhona Sibandze, the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Lubombo Regional Organizer alleged that Senior Superintendent Clement Sihlongonyane wanted to shoot and kill him.

On Tuesday during an interview, Sibandze said after the death of Mabhensane Headteacher Sayinile Sikhondze, Sihlongonyane vowed to kill him.

The political activist alleged that his sin was to organize residents to try and question the deceased who was suspected of stealing cattle in the area with impunity.

“After learning that we were about to question her, Sayinile rushed to obtain a restraining order against us as residents. Now,Sihlongonyane says he only wants to shoot and kill me, his justification is that my political affiliation suggests that I am the suspect,” said the PUDEMO Regional Organizer.

A questionnaire was sent to Senior Superintendent Clement Sihlongonyane, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Sayinile Sikhondze,a Headteacher at Mabhensane Primary School was shot and killed within the premises of her home last week.

A member of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) later told this publication that she was spying and providing information about them to the police.

It remains unclear as to who shot and killed Sikhondze as members of Lavundlamanti community and surrounding areas alleged that she was at loggerheads with residents for allegedly stealing cattle.

At the time of her death, the Headteacher was believed to be connected to powerful people within the police and the Teaching Service Commission(TSC) hence, despite being suspected of stealing cattle, she managed to evade arrest and possible dismissal from work.
