Africa-Press – Eswatini. Sakhile Aviwa Nxumalo, the influential Students union leader who was abducted by Mswati’s police earlier on Tuesday was allegedly electrocuted at the Riverstone Police Post.

Speaking to this Swaziland News, Nxumalo who is admitted at Manzini clinic said the police used an electric cable and electrocuted him during the torturing.

“I was tortured and they used an electric cable to electrocute me at the Riverstone Police Post”, he said.

Nxumalo was allegedly abducted by over ten(10) police officers at the Riverstone Mall who were allegedly commanded by King Mswati to embark on a crackdown against students leaders and political activists.

On Monday, the police abducted Colani Maseko, the President of the Swaziland National Union of Students (SNUS) who was critical of King Mswati and his regime, Maseko was assaulted and subsequently charged with Sedition for allegedly burning Mswati’s pictures.

Phindile Vilakati, the eSwatini police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Eswatini is in the midst of a political crisis after the King unleashed soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians.

The Human Rights Commission reported that forty-six(46) people were killed since the political unrest erupted.

But political parties and the civil society alleged that over one hundred(100) people were killed with over seventy already identified.
