Africa-Press – Eswatini. ESWATINI Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) will spend E44 450 on communication devices for the Board. This is contained in the association’s ambitious E9 720 873 budget for the current financial year which was duly passed by the general assembly during Sunday’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini.
In the budget presented by treasurer Zakhele Zulu, EOCGA anticipate spending E70 000 worth laptops and a new vehicle of the value of E200 000, taking the budget for these to E314 450.
On a positive note, EOCGA is expected to cut rental costs after moving to the OlympAfrica Centre in Lobamba will take a knock on staff remuneration following the engagement of Maxwell Jele as General Secretary. A mouth-watering E100 000 is budgeted for consultation fees while E75 000 will be channelled towards marketing and development.
Zulu stressed that the budget had been drafted from monies assumed to be coming-in in the financial year that include a combined over E4.6 million expected from ANOCA Activities Grant, Solidarity Administration and the TOP Programme.
