Africa-Press – Eswatini. WINDS of change are blowing.

Manzini Wanderers have announced an interim management committee to be led by former team manager Berger ‘Hotline’ Nxumalo.

Also forming part of the committee is Mbabane-based lawyer and former management committee chairman Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli, who is the new head of legal affairs. Mdluli is also expected to represent the club in the Premier League of Eswatini Board of Governors. Administrator, Diana Girlie Johnson, has been retained as Chief Executive Officer while, Sihle Mamba, has been handed the treasurer position.

Vocal supporter Lucky ‘Majayivane’ Dlamini has been retained as the Public Relations Officer. Wanderers Director, Peter Mathaba, said the committee has been mandated to bring stability to the hub giants. “We have chosen an interim committee that we hope will stabilise operations of the club. The committee shall hold office until the end of the current season and thereafter a decision will be made on the way forward,” he said.

Meanwhile, the director further appealed for cooperation from the club’s supporters as they continue to improve the situation currently surrounding the club.

“We appeal to the faithful supporters of the club to look for means to assist in the development of the club, not to attack certain individuals yet giving no solutions.

It is unacceptable that a gloomy picture is painted that distracts the initiatives that are currently underway to turn the situation around, when the energy from true supporters of the club should be directed at contributing to stabilising the situation.

The unwarranted attacks overreach to call for legitimate officials of the club to vacate office,” he said.

Logistics

Mathaba said they were on the verge of finalising logistics of the club shares programme by urging supporters to be ready for the new initiatives. “On the issue of floating shares of the club, the project is underway. We are finalising logistics for establishment thereof.

You will appreciate that this exercise requires a deeper involvement in planning but soon we will be ready to launch it. We urge our supporters to be ready to participate. As the festive season is upon us and people plan around their finances, we request members of the Manzini Wanderers family to set aside their contributions so that when the time comes, individuals are ready to subscribe,” he said.
