Africa-Press – Eswatini. Business is booming for the hospitality industry this festive season.
Most hotels have seen a huge occupancy rate when compared to previous years. Hospitality and Tourism Association of Eswatini (HOTAES) secretary Teagan Ward said most places were fully booked for the festive, especially Christmas day.
Ward stated that they were currently preparing a formal report of all players in the hospitality industry.
“Most places are fully booked while others are currently still taking bookings and others are still not yet booked,” she said.
Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Linda Nxumalo said in terms of the international tourists, the borders were busy and they were receiving visitors from South Africa and other neighbouring countries.
She said local hotels had been reporting good news in terms of their bookings, especially for Christmas day.
“We have been receiving good comments from local hotels and accommodation facilities when it comes to their bookings this festive.
Some are fully booked, which is impressive while others are currently still taking booking,” she said,
Nxumalo encouraged Emaswati to continue supporting the local tourism industry and visit the local-tourist attraction places this festive.
